Online Reputation Management Can Bury Bad Press

Online reputation management could do a lot to save a person or a business’ online image. Negative contents in the internet cannot be avoided as there are people who will try to malign others in any way. It might seem frustrating that they cannot do anything about it, but there are companies who can. While some content can be removed, most of them cannot. But there is still hope as statistics shows that 94% of people stay on the front page of the major search engines while 99% stay on the first two pages. All the company has to do is push the negative content further down the major search engines results page. This ensures that the majority of people searching for their client’s name or business will not see these negative contents. An online reputation management will research the problem, develop a plan, generate more positive publicity, build the authority of that publicity and convince the search engines that the positive sites are more valid than the negative sites, and continually monitor the situation to make sure the positive publicity remains front and center, and any negative sites are outside of the top 20 search engine results. Social networking sites are one of the areas that reputation management utilize to boost their client’s standing online. New profiles and posts on these pages, especially those with threaded or naturally rich keyword conversations can be used to promote pages for specific keywords. This can be a good way to bury bad press and also ensures that when users search for a person’s name or business, they will be presented with results that are managed by the company.
